TECHNICAL DIRECTOR HYDRO & POSITIONING

Mark Padover, Technical Director of the Hydrographic Survey and Positioning Division, manages and conducts a broad spectrum of projects including UXO, geophysical and biologic surveys, as well as geotechnical campaigns. He has been with Alpine for 5 years and has over 24 years of experience in the industry.  He has held a US Coast Guard 100 Ton Masters license for more than 27 years earned through running vessels both domestically and internationally.  

Mark graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Natural Resources focusing on marine and aquatic ecosystems and later went on to study maritime history/underwater archaeology at East Carolina University.  

Marks past experience as a SCUBA instructor Trainer enables him to play a key role in the skills development of Alpines field staff.  His experience includes a considerable number of underwater UXO, geotechnical, dredging, and offshore energy projects.  

In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, woodworking, and SCUBA diving.  He believes that life is too short not to enjoy what you do for work and that if you’re not learning something new daily, you’re doing something wrong.
