Dario Manchia, IT Manager & R&D Manager, is responsible for the Company’s network and the entire IT infrastructure.  He develops equipment and software actively used in the field and he is the developer of Alpine’s core management software, ARMS.

Born and raised in Italy, he attended Humanistic High School in Rome and graduated from Pisa University with a MS in Environmental Sciences, with a thesis in fluid mechanics.

His first working experiences focused on physical and biological oceanography, biocenosis mapping and underwater sampling, for about three years in academic environment.

In 2015, after eight years as a ROV Supervisor in the Oil & Gas industry and one year at Procter & Gamble Italy as an Innovation and Productivity Projects Development Team Leader, Dario joined Alpine, starting as an electronic engineer and online surveyor. In 2017, he became the Equipment Manager and then, in 2018, the IT / R&D Manager.    

Dario loves to travel and spend time outdoor with his wife and with his dog, Orazio.

He is an experienced diving instructor, a scientific diver, an underwater photographer and an unsuccessful ukulele player.
